 Hello! Welcome to the Pursuit of Dreams: My Parents vs. Me! This blog is going to be talking about all of the qualms and conflicts that many Asian Americans students face in their homes, especially pertaining with their future. We're going to be diving into the different aspects of Western and Eastern cultures where we see clashing viewpoints and dissect them. 

As an Asian American student who has had their fair share of both cultures, I have had many conversations with my parents in the past about my future, leaving me very confused about my identity and struggling to decide whether or not to follow my goals and dreams or pursue a life that my parents wanted for me. 

There are both advantages and disadvantages of both cultures. Don't be quick to assume that one is superior to the other; keep an open mind!
